🌊 A B O U T 🦋

The Himig: A Pinoy GiyuShino Digital Zine is a compilation of work by Pinoy writers and artists, primarily made for a Pinoy audience but which can be enjoyed by everyone around the world. All pieces in this zine will revolve around Tomioka Giyuu and Kocho Shinobu as its main pair.The zine will also have an NSFW counterpart for those aged 18 and above called Ritmo.

🦋 What is the theme of the zine?

The theme of the zine is OPM songs.Work in the zine will be based on each contributor’s choice of OPM songs. These need not be Tagalog songs; they may be songs in English, Bisaya, or other Filipino languages. They need only be by Pinoy artists.

🌊 How will the zine be presented?

The zinee will be presented in a digital format, A4-sized. The languages used will be Filipino languages and English. A glossary of Filipino terms will be included in a glossary.In order to prevent the unauthorized copying, reproduction, and reposting of the works found in the zine, we will be releasing this in a password-protected PDF file linked through Google Docs. The file will only be available for download until a specified date.

🦋 What will the zine be rated?

All work in Himig will be for the consumption of the general public, with a PG-13 maximum rating.Similarly, problematic tropes (such as minor-adult, student-teacher, incestual, and abusive relationships) and the like will not be allowed.As such, contributors 13 years old and older are welcome to join Himig. The age restriction is in accordance with the minimum age requirement imposed by most social media accounts.Initial ideas will be approved by the moderators to ensure that these maintain the PG-13 maximum rating for the pieces.The moderators reserve the right to decline any ideas should they deem them unfit for and Himig.

🌊 How will you be choosing your contributors?

In order to encourage creativity among the Pinoy GiyuShino community, we will not cut off any contributor applicants. Thus, the zine will consist of contributors gathered via “open-invite”.There will be sign-ups via Google forms during our contributor call. It will be open for a month, or until the team reaches the maximum number of contributors for the project; whichever comes first.The maximum number of contributors for both Himig and Ritmo as a total is as follows:
Artists - 30 people, maximum
Writers - 15 people, maximum

🦋 How much will the zine cost?

The general zine will be FREE! We will, however, have an option for donating during the e-mail collection period.In order to obtain the NSFW zine, a minimum donation of PHP250 or USD5 must be made to the selected organization.

🌊Which organization will this project be donating to?

As of the moment, we have prospects as to which organization to donate to, but are also yet to finalize what it is.Donations will be sent collectively to the chosen organization. As such, during the collection of e-mail addresses, the moderating team will be asking for proof of donations to verify this donation.

🦋 Will there be merchandise?

Yes! We will be having digital merchandise. However, as this is a free zine, merchandise will only be included in the bundle if one donates a starting equivalent of PHP200 or USD4.

🌊Where will this be hosted?

The project will be hosted in separate channels of the GiyuShino PH Discord server.The link to the server will be sent to participants during the e-mail roll-out and they will be granted access to the relevant channels.
